Pragpur & Dharamsala

Pragpur

We left Delhi a few days ago and we spent two nights at a beautiful hotel in Pragpur.  I woke up early and watched the sunrise from the roof, then after breakfast we wandered around the town.  We met a little girl from a house near the hotel and she was our tour guide for most of the morning.

After Pragpur, we arrived at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies, Institute of Buddhist Dialectics, Sarah Campus.  We were greeted by our roommates with katas and led to our rooms.  I got really lucky with a room on the top floor and a private bathroom.

The bottom left is the view from the roof of the girls’ dorm, and it’s also the view from my room.

The visa problem seems to have been solved.  We went to the FRRO in Delhi and they wrote a note for us so we can register in Dharamsala.  We attempted to register on Friday but the office was closed due to someone’s birthday.  I think we’ll be trying again on Monday.
